Dropping anchor

People often refer to their personal or spiritual exploration as a “journey.” It seems to me that a more appropriate metaphor is to “drop anchor.” We are always in motion, looking for the next road…or searching for the nearest exits of whatever situation we are in. For me, for this point in my life, I plan to pause. Assess the opportunity. Evaluate the horizon. Select a destination. Plan the journey.

This approach runs counter to my habit as a planner. I have always mapped out my next steps, considering options and preparing for roadblocks. This new approach of dropping anchor requires stillness, contemplation and observation.

I’ve re-designed this site and updated the main areas of content to reflect this new orientation. I invite you, not to “come along” with me, but just to sit with me. We will see what comes.
