Mom had a couple in-the-right-direction milestones today. I went up to Napa for the day and we (1) went to lunch and (2) went shopping.
Lunch was at a small simple taco joint in a strip mall. They sell “street tacos,” and one is a perfect size for her. Plus, they are yummy!
Shopping was pretty much a Walmart errand, but it got her out and feeling independent as she pushed the cart around the store, checking off items from her list. By the end she was pretty tired and waited on a bench while I stood in line and paid.
But all in all, a great day.
Awesome news, and a great reminder for the rest of us to appreciate the simple things in life that we no doubt take for granted.
