Rock and Sea

In my former office I had four photos framed on the wall. They depicted four of my best memories — adventures to places I loved with the people I loved. Once I hung them, I recognized something else. The photos were from different parts of the world, but they all had one thing in common.

They all depicted a jagged edge, a part of the world that dropped dramatically among black rock into the sea.
