No obstruction. The mystery continues.
Doc continues to be convinced the pain is caused by scar tissue, which doesn’t show up on X-ray. The pain is right in the area where her left kidney was removed, so it makes sense. No treatment except the management of pain. Fentanyl patch seems to be doing the trick, particularly if she supplements with vicodein.
Doc says his goal is to have her be “pain free, but alert.” Mom has not been pain free as long as I’ve known her. So that would be quite an accomplishment.
Now to see if the chemo starts working on the liver mets.
