Food, nourishment, and the kitchen as sanctuary

Cooking for yourself is a radical act.

Learning to cook for yourself — with care,  intention, and pleasure — is one of the most profound forms of self-reclamation there is.

Why Food

The kitchen was where I first found connection.

Long before I knew I was going to become a coach, I found clarity in the kitchen. Something about the rhythm of chopping, the patience of a slow braise, the way a meal can mark a moment — it was meditative and focused.

Eating is so intimate. It’s very sensual. When you invite someone to sit at your table and you want to cook for them, you’re inviting a person into your life.

Many of the women I work with have spent so long taking care of their to-do list that they’ve lost track of what they actually want to do. They default to easy, to fast, to whatever requires the least thought. They eat standing over the sink. They skip meals when no one is watching.

This space is a gentle invitation back. To pleasure, to curiosity, to the nourishment your body has always deserved. I share recipes that are honest, beautiful, and forgiving — and stories about the meals that changed something in me.

Ways to Explore Together

01

Cooking Classes and Retreats

Learn the fundamentals of cooking

These hands-on sessions take the mystery out of cooking, whether over a single evening or a full weekend retreat. You’ll learn real techniques, the kind that make cooking for friends feel like second nature, not a performance or a major event. Once the food’s made, we sit down and eat it together, trading the food memories and family traditions that shaped how each of us eats and connects.

Culinary Tours

Explore the best of Portugal

Portugal has a long culinary history influenced by other cultures. Celtic settlers and North African traders each left their mark on Portugal’s kitchens, long before the country’s own ships went looking for spice. Portugal’s spice trade during the Age of Discovery brought home cinnamon and pepper from India, cloves from the islands of Indonesia — flavors that never left the Portuguese kitchen. From the Mediterranean-style seafood dishes of the southern coast to the hearty cozido of the northern mountains, you will learn the history of Portugal through its food traditions and rituals of the table.

Personal Terroir Wine Tastings

Wine tasting meets personal exploration

A wine takes on the character of the exact place it grows — the soil, the slope, the weather it can’t escape. Some of the best grapes come from vines forced to struggle — poor soil, harsh weather, roots that have to dig deep for water. This tasting moves between several of Portugal’s distinct wine regions, and a closer look at your own conditions: the ones that bring out your best, the ones that have been working against you, and the ones where a real challenge turns out to be exactly what you needed.
