We are celebrating the holidays at home this year. I decorate for the holidays only every two years–no sense getting the house all dolled up if we’re spending them in Illinois. This year I hope to take a more contemporary study of holiday decor. While I love traditional decor (the tree, holly berries, pine cones, etc., etc.) I sometimes find that pulling out the last 20 years’ worth of collected decorations ends up in a riot of colors and style. Sometimes that’s great. But this year, I am going to try for something more sophisticated. That may give me an opportunity to winnow down the various boxes of decor I have in the garage–since I’m in a paring-down kind of mood! Here is some inspiration.
